• The °µÍřTV Department of Public Safety is providing the following update regarding the Timely Warning issued on May 27, 2026, concerning an individual suspected of intentionally setting multiple fires in and around the Cascade Campus area. The incidents included a fire near Minnesota Avenue west of campus, an attempted fire near dumpsters west of the TEB Building on PCC property, and a third fire at the TriMet bus shelter near N. Killingsworth Street and N. Albina Avenue. Updated Information Following a joint investigation by the Portland Police Bureau, Portland Fire & Rescue, and PCC Department of Public Safety, a suspect has been identified and arrested in connection with these incidents. Status of Threat At this time, investigators do not believe this incident poses an ongoing threat to the campus community.

Attention: Timely warning – Arson

Dear PCC Community, This Timely Warning is notification of multiple Arson incidents that occurred tonight, May 27th, 2026, °µÍřTV Cascade Campus, at approximately 7:30 PM and is believed to present a potential ongoing safety concern. Timely Warnings are sent when certain crimes are reported on or near PCC property, in compliance with the Clery Act. Timely Warnings provide information about college safety situations, and inform college community members of safety precautions to support personal safety, and raise awareness to help prevent crime.

• REPORTED OFFENSE: Arson
• WHEN: 5/27/2026 at approximately 7:30 PM
• SUSPECT: Adult white male with short, dark hair, approximately 30-40 years old, wearing dark sunglasses, navy blue t-shirt, blue/multicolored pants, black/white shoes, black backpack.
• WHERE: °µÍřTV – Cascade Campus, 705 N Killingsworth St, Portland, OR 97217
• DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT: Public Safety and local law enforcement responded to multiple intentionally set fires in and around the Cascade Campus area. Incidents included a fire near Minnesota Avenue west of Campus, an attempted fire near dumpsters west of the TEB building on PCC property, and a third fire at the TriMet bus shelter near N. Killingsworth Street and N. Albina Avenue. No significant injuries or property damage reported at this time.
• OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:
  • °µÍřTV Public Safety is actively coordinating with the Portland Police Bureau regarding this matter.
  • All relevant information has been shared with PPB, and patrols have been increased across Cascade Campus.

Attention: safety alert

This Safety Alert is notification of an Assault Involving Unwanted Sexual Contact that occurred °µÍřTV Rock Creek on Saturday, 5/23 at approximately 11PM. It is believed to present a potential ongoing safety concern to the PCC community.

• REPORTED OFFENSE: Assault Involving Unwanted Sexual Contact
• WHEN: Saturday, 5/23 at approximately 11PM
• SUSPECT: Group of youths riding E-Bikes
• DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT: A female victim reported a male suspect riding with a number of individuals on e-bikes grabbed her on the buttocks without consent and attempted to rip her shirt during the encounter. A group of juveniles riding e-bikes similar to the offending group has reportedly been observed on campus on multiple prior occasions. The incident is being investigated as a reported sexual harassment involving unwanted sexual contact.
• OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:
  • °µÍřTV Public Safety is actively coordinating with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office regarding this matter.
  • All relevant information has been shared with the Sheriff’s Office, and plans are being finalized to increase patrols in the affected areas.
