Cascade to show award-winning film âLiving Downstreamâ
Story by James Hill
The award-winning environmental education film âLiving Downstreamâ will be shown at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26 in the Moriarty Auditorium, Cascade Campus. The documentary follows ecologist and cancer survivor Dr. Sandra Steingraber as she travels across North America working to break the silence about cancer and its environmental links. Through Sandraâs personal journey and her scientific exploration, âLiving Downstream,â is a powerful reminder of the intimate connection between the health of our bodies and the health of our air, land, and water. This showing is hosted by the Oregon Environmental Council and Rachelâs friends, the evening will include a Q & A following the screening.
